The Political Department is responsible for the Department of Politics, Department of Literature and History, and Department of Sports.

The Political Department establishes the Department of Social Sciences, which is further divided into the Department of Politics, Department of Literature and History, and Department of Sports. On August 6, 52, the Political Department was renamed as the Political Warfare Department. On April 30, 58, the Sports Group was transferred to the Department of Naval Sciences.

The General Academic Department is established, which oversees the Department of Politics, Department of Literature and History, and Department of Foreign Languages.

The General Education Center is established (headed by the director of a department), which oversees the Department of Politics, Department of Literature and History, and Department of Foreign Languages.

In response to organizational adjustments and the future need for university general education, the school was authorized to establish the General Education Center on July 1, 1994. It became an independent primary teaching unit of the school, overseeing the Humanities Group, Social Sciences Group, Natural Sciences Group, and Military Group. Together with the General Academic Department and the Military Science Department, they form three important teaching units of the university.

In response to organizational streamlining, the Humanities Group and Social Sciences Group were merged, the position of group leader was eliminated, and a deputy director position was added.

Foreign language teachers were transferred to the Department of Applied Foreign Languages.
