Introduction
The power systems, the weapons systems, and the fighting systems of our Navy update and upgrade continuously in the military history with various addition of high technology, new tactics, and new strategies.

The future Navy officers have to face these challenges by continuous updating, i.e., by self learning and self challenge all the way life to strengthen our sea power and to ensure our nation’s securities.

The teaching objects of the Academy are the sci-tech knowledge, clear logic reasoning capabilities, creative capabilities, and leadership style.

These objects can help directly graduates to attain self learning goals.

The teaching contents of the Department base on the curriculum consisting of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry courses.

The integrated curriculum consists of basic courses, i.e., Physics and Chemistry , and navy applied courses., Fighting courses.

The Department designs two programs for sophomore to choose from,suehas., Navy Technology and Navy Applied Chemistry.

Basically, the detailed content of the fighting curriculum are Probability, Statistics, and Decision-making to discuss the fighting principles.

The Physics curriculum is Electromagnetism, Applied Optics, Infrared Engineering, Underwater Acoustics with various detection technologies to discuss the Navy principles and environmental limitations.

The Chemistry curriculum focuses on the courses of ship anti-corrosion and ship pollution prevention aspects.

Totally, the 132 graduating credits distributes over 37 General Knowledge credits and 95 departmental credits of basic sciences, Naval Engineering, and Naval technologies courses.
